TIG Welder
Description: The TIG Welder plays a crucial role in our production processes. This position requires a keen eye for detail and precision to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. The TIG Welder is responsible for welding on a variety of materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. They will engage in both production welding using weld fixtures and independent weldments without the aid of a weld fixture. Apart from welding, secondary tasks include grinding and sanding. The individual may also be called upon to contribute in other departments as necessary.

Requirements: While executing the responsibilities of this role, the TIG Welder is frequently required to demonstrate a deep understanding of welding techniques and principles. This position is active and may require standing for extended periods, frequent bending, and lifting of materials. The employee must occasionally handle materials and equipment weighing over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment may involve exposure to sparks, fumes, and airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment can be loud, and there is a need for constant attention to safety measures.
• High school diploma/GED is essential. Completion of a welding apprenticeship or an equivalent combination of education and TIG welding experience is highly desired.
• Knowledge in welding mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum is a must.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints and drawings efficiently.
• Experience in production welding using weld fixtures and building weldments without the aid of a weld fixture.
• Proficient in secondary tasks such as grinding and sanding.
• Flexibility to work in other departments when necessary.
