Jeff Mengel – Employee Spotlight

Jeff started with STMC in May of 2012 and is approaching his 10th anniversary in 2022. Jeff began his career as a pressman for a custom web press company. After working there for many years, Jeff’s brother-in-law, Randy (also a long-time STMC employee) asked him if he’d be interested in pivoting his career and working with metal. 9 years later, Jeff is now a lead brake press operator.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Jeff first started at STMC on the brake press. He quickly streamlined press brake comprehension by creating documentation including special notes, pictures, prints, tooling requirements, bend sequences, and more. Today, the brake press operators can reference this helpful material at any time. Jeff’s favorite features of the job are that he is valued as an employee and his co-workers are friendly and always willing to help. Jeff maintains a healthy work-life balance, enjoying a personal life doing the things he loves such as traveling to Las Vegas, photography, bird watching, and spending the holidays with loved ones.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
